Vital Stats:
Joe Louis “Champion of them all” bourbon is aged in medium char American Oak barrels for at least two years and bottled at 90 Proof. This bourbon is made from limestone-rich natural well waters combined with the finest quality locally sourced and milled ingredients, beginning with a high corn mash bill of 65% Non-GMO corn, 15% rye and 20% imported barley. Distilled in pot stills, hand-crafted to isolate and discard the heads and tails, ensuring that only the “heart” — the best part of the bourbon is what goes into each barrel to age.
Appearance:
In a glass, Joe Louis “Champion of them all” bourbon appears medium copper brown, with exceptional clarity.
Nose:
Sweeter notes of corn and caramelized sugar lead the way on the nose, while lighter notes of baking spices, cedar and cocoa linger underneath.
Palate:
The palate for Joe Louis “Champion of them all” bourbon starts with notes of citrus, caramel, and pepper. In the mid-palate, the citrus notes subside, and the caramel and spice notes emerge. The sweetness of a high corn mash is well balanced with hot spices and oak for a knockout finish.
